Celebrating marriage in Singapore on St Valentine’s Day

(Vatican Radio) Couples in Singapore will be taking part in an event on St Valentine’s Day, February 14th, to celebrate marriage. World Marriage Day is also being marked in the country on Saturday.

The aim of the gathering organized by the Worldwide Marriage Encounter movement, is to show that in this day and age happy marriages and families are possible.

This year, couples are being invited to bring along their children and extended family to the event in Ngee Ann City.

Vatican Radio spoke to Alphonsus & Cyrine Gregory, from the WWME Singapore Ecclesial team who explained more about the initiative. They also spoke about the upcoming Synod on the Family and what we can learn from St Valentine.
