Russia natural gas pipeline plan not to go ahead
(Vatican Radio) Russian President Vladimir Putin says the proposed South Stream natural gas pipeline will not go ahead amid major European opposition to the plan.
The announcement comes while Ukraine received a massive loan from the European Union's investment bank to modernize its section of a pipeline used to deliver natural gas from Russia to Europa, despite concerns over renewed fighting in the country's east.
