Ebola: trial shows some promise

(Vatican Radio) The first trial of an experimental vaccine against Ebola on humans shows some promise, according to research scientists at the US National Institutes of Health. Preliminary results suggest the vaccine is safe and could help the immune system combat the virus. Twenty volunteers were immunised in the trial at the NIH. The research is published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
