AFRICA MIGRATION


Pope Francis on Nov. 21 addressed participants at the Seventh World Congress for the Pastoral Care of Migrants. In his remarks, the Holy Father said, “Today, notwithstanding new developments and the emergence of situations which are at times painful and even tragic, migration is still an aspiration to hope.”

Among the participants from Africa at the congress was Bishop Frank Nubuasah of Francistown in Botswana representing the Southern African Catholic Bishops Conference. He spoke to us about the need for the Church in Africa to encourage governments to make policies that will help young people stay at home and build a future…
