Fighting continues around Syrian border town

(Vatican Radio) Islamic State fighters undertook a three-pronged a three-pronged attack on late Monday from the eastern side of the town of Kobani, Syria, near the border with Turkey. The Syrian Kurdish enclave has seen heavy fighting in recent weeks. Fighters for the Islamic State have taken control of a vast swathe of territory from northern Syria to the outskirts of Baghdad, inside which they are seeking to impose Islamic law.
