'Vatican Weekend' for October 4, 2014

(Vatican Radio) 'Vatican Weekend' for October  4, 2014  features a report on the weekly general audience of Pope Francis with pilgrims from across the world, an interview with Cardinal Walter Kasper focusing on the forthcoming Extraordinary Synod on the family, and a final section centred around the figure of Francis of Assisi whose feast day falls precisely on October 4. This latter section of the programme begins with the Pope's words explaining why he took the name Francis as Successor of Peter, and goes on to celebrate this popular saint on musical, artistic and linguistic notes.
