Pope Francis sends condolences for Iranian air crash

(Vatican Radio) Pope Francis has sent a telegram through his Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, expressing his condolences over the plane crash that killed at least 39 Iranians over the weekend. The telegram was addressed to the President of the Episcopal COnference of Iran, the Archbishop of Ispahan, Ignazio Bedini. Below, please fin the full text of the Message:

His Holiness Pope Francis was deeply saddened by the tragic air accident in Tehran, and he asks you to convey his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.  Praying for the eternal repose of the dead, His Holiness invokes upon all who mourn their loss, the divine blessings of strength, consolation and peace.
