RIP Cardinal Edward Bede Clancy 1923-2014
(Vatican Radio) The Archbishop-emeritus of Sydney, Cardinal Edward Bede Clancy, passed away on Sunday morning at the age of ninety.
The Apostolic Administrator of Sydney, Bishop Peter Comensoli, remembered Cardinal Clancy as, "[A] great churchman and a true leader with total dedication to his vocation."
Among Cardinal Clancy's many contributions to the Australian Church, his work
on the cause of St. Mary MacKillop figured prominently also on the world stage.
