Archbishop Bernardito Cleopas Auza new Permanent Representative to United Nations


(Vatican Radio) The Apostolic Nunciature in Haiti has announced the current Nuncio to the country, Archbishop Bernardito Cleopas Auza, has been appointed by Pope Francis as the new Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York. He succeeds Archbishop Francis Chullikatt, who was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010. Archbishop Auza is a native of the Philippines, and was appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Haiti in 2008.
