Nigeria: at least 21 dead in capital bomb blast

(Vatican Radio) The Nigerian capital, Abuja, is on high alert this morning after a deadly terror attack. A bomb blast at a crowded shopping centre in the capital city killed at least 21 people and wounded many others yesterday afternoon at peak business hours. Local authorities and expert observers strongly suspect the Islamic Boko Haram group, which is waging a terror campaign to topple the government and impose Islamic religious law in the country. Violent attacks in Nigeria have killed at least 2 thousand people so far this year.
