Arrest made in priest shooting case

(Vatican Radio) Police in Phoenix Arizona say they have made an arrest in the killing of a Roman Catholic priest and the beating of a second priest at a church in the city's downtown.

28 year old Fr. Kenneth Walker, FSSP, was shot and killed on 11 June during a break-in at the Mater Misericordiae Mission Church. The pastor Fr. Joseph Terra, FSSP, was badly beaten and later hospitalized.

A Solemn High Requiem Mass for Fr. Walker is set to be celebrated today at the St. Catherine of Siena Parish Church in Phoenix.

Fr. Terra was critically injured in the attack but is expected to make a full recovery.

Both priests are members of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter.
