Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI to attend canonization event

April 26, 2014: The twin canonization of Popes John XXIII and John Paul II on Sunday is the first in history, will ‎become even more unique with the presence of two living popes at the ceremony. ‎
Father Lombardi the Vatican spokesperson said that Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI has accepted the invitation to attend the Mass of canonization of John Paul II and John XXIII. The Pope Emeritus will concelebrate with the other Cardinals.
