March 28, 2014 - In a micro-blog on the social media on Friday, Pope Francis urged
Christians to use the time of Lent to change themselves for the better. “We all need
to improve, to change for the better. Lent helps us fight against our faults,” the
Pope wrote on his Twitter account@pontifex. Lent is a 40-day period in which Christians
pray, fast, do sacrifice and carry out good works in preparation for the annual commemoration
of Christ’s passion and death that culminate in Christianity’s greatest feast - Easter,
the glorious resurrection of Jesus from death.
