Pope Francis calls us to recognize our errors and ask forgiveness


Vatican City, 4 March 2014: In a post on the social media on Tuesday, Pope Francis called Christians to recognize their errors and ask for forgiveness saying we all make many mistakes in life. The Pontiff wrote on his Twitter account @pontifex: “In life we all make many mistakes. Let us learn to recognize our errors and ask forgiveness.”
Pope Francis has often spoken of human sins and God’s forgiveness. Pope Francis ‏ wrote on 18 November 2013: ‘Confessing our sins may be difficult for us, but it brings us peace. We are sinners, and we need God’s forgiveness.’
The Pope has now close to 11 million followers on his Twitter account @Pontifex. And the re-tweeting of Pope’s message is reported to be reaching at least 60 million people. The Pope’s English-language handle alone has over 3 million followers. The papal tweets are published in nine languages on the micro-blogging website.
