Today (March 4th) we have Arturo Mantovani & His Orchestra recordings in the studio
for our Melodies & Memories Tuesday feature “Historical Recordings”. Mantovani formed
his own orchestra after graduating from Trinity College of Music in London which went
on to become one of the most popular British dance bands of the ‘40s. After the end
of WW II, Mantovani concentrated on recording and eventually gave up live performance
altogether. Please join us for a selection of tracks featuring Arturo Mantovani’s
famous “cascading strings” at 2:30!
