Pope tweets and calls Education ‘an act of love’

March 01, 2014: In a post on the social media on Saturday, Pope Francis invited everyone to thank all Catholic educators, “Let us thank all those who teach in Catholic schools. Educating is an act of love; it is like giving life” the Pope wrote on his Twitter account @pontifex. Pope Francis has always attached a lot of importance to catholic Education and he called it “one of the most important challenges for the Church, currently committed to new evangelisation in an historical and cultural context that is undergoing constant transformation”. He said this in his address to participants in the plenary session of the Congregation for Catholic Education, held in Rome early last month.
