"Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Jerome Kern Songbook"

Jerome Kern is my subject for Melodies & Memories Wednesday ( 19 February) feature, accompanied by a selection of sides from 1963’s “Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Jerome Kern Songbook” arranged and conducted by Nelson Riddle. Kern created dozens of Broadway musicals and Hollywood films in a career which lasted over four decades and produced such classic songs as “Ol’ Man River” and “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes”.
