Pope Francis elected among the ten "key men of the year 2013"
Beijing, Jan 9, 2014: Pope Francis was elected in the group of the ten "key men of
the year 2013" by 50 representatives of the media, journalistic and diplomatic associations,
among the most important of mainland China. According to information gathered by Fides
Agency, the choice, an open vote, took place during the fifteenth "China International
Press Forum", which took place on December 15 in Hainan. The news was made public
on December 24 and reported by all the Chinese media.
Pope Francis occupies
the third place among the 10 most important men in the world in 2013, which include
the President of Iran Rohani, Russian President Putin, the former Egyptian President
Morsi, the former South African President Nelson Mandela. No Pope or religious personality
