Diane Schuur
Tacoma, Washington-born, Seattle, Washington-raised jazz singer and pianist, Diane
Schuur is on our track list today (January 9th) with sides from her 1984
debut album “Deedles”. The two-time Grammy Award-winning Schuur is accompanied on
this disc by Dave and Don Grusin, and Stan Getz, among others, and my selection includes
the classic Billy Joel-penned “New York State of Mind”, Jackson Browne’s gospel-tinged
“Rock Me On The Water” as-well-as her stunning interpretation of the traditional hymn
