Pope tweets on Mother Mary

Vatican City, 28 December 2013: In a post on the social media on Saturday, Pope Francis reflected on Mother Mary, the Mother of the Word made flesh. The Pontiff wrote on his Twitter account @pontifex: “Our Mother Mary is full of beauty because she is full of grace.”

Pope Francis has been an ardent devotee of Our Lady. During the General audience on 18 December, the Pope said: This Christmas, let us ask Mary, Mother of Jesus and our Mother, to help us see in our neighbour the face of Jesus, God made man.

The Pope has now close to 11 million followers on his Twitter account @Pontifex. And the re-tweeting of Pope’s message is reported to be reaching at least 60 million people. The Pope’s English-language handle alone has over 3 million followers. The papal tweets are published in nine languages on the micro-blogging website.Source: VR Sedoc
