Pope Francis lunches with Pope Benedict XVI

Vatican City, 28 December 2013: Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI and Pope Francis lunched together on Friday at the Papal residence Santa Marta in the Vatican.
Earlier on Monday, Pope Francis paid an early Christmas visit to his predecessor, Pope-emeritus Benedict XVI, in the monastery Mater Ecclesia in the Vatican gardens. It was during that visit Pope Francis invited Pope Benedict to Casa Santa Marta for a holiday meal.
The Secretaries of both the Popes joined them at the meal. In addition to them at the festive meal were Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, Secretary for Relations with States, and Monsignor Peter Bryan Wells, Assessor for General Affairs of the Secretariat of State. Source: VR Sedoc
