Pope’s tweet warns Christians against distracted Christmas
December 23, 2013 - With a tweet on the social media, Pope Francis on Monday urged
Christians not to get distracted with noise of Christmas, but to allow Christ to speak
to them in the silence of the heart. “Christmas celebrations are often full of sound.
It would be good for us to make room for silence, to hear the voice of Love,” the
Pope exhorted in a post on his Twitter account @pontifex. The advice echoed a question
he asked at the morning Mass – “Whether there is place for the Lord, or is there place
for celebration, shopping and noise..”
