Pope meets Prime Minister of Bahamas
(Vatican Radio) On Monday 18th Pope Francis received Perry Gladstone Christie,
Prime Minister of the Bahamas, in private audience. During their cordial exchange, they focussed on the theme of migration and on the contribution offered by the Catholic Church to the population, in particular in the areas of aid and education. They also expressed the mutual desire for closer collaboration within these sectors.
The Prime Minister of the Bahamas also met the Vatican Secretary for Relations with States, Archbishopo Dominique Mamberti , Vatican Secretary of State, Archbishop Pietro Parolin.
