30 Oct. 2013: The Italian island of Sicily is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the
casket containing Don Bosco’s relic. The Salesian Family is preparing to welcome
it from 1 to 20 November. Four thousand volunteers are already working in the organization
of the various stages when the relic will visit 35 cities. The urn will pass through
the various dioceses of the Island, welcomed by Bishops and the local churches Numerous
side events will take place on days that precede and accompany the arrival of the
relic in the city. Students will hold meetings, solemn celebrations , vigils and moments
of praye,r to meet and learn about the saint of youth, and a travelling exhibition
on spirituality and the educational system of Don Bosco will anticipate each stage
of the urn. Don Gianni Mazzali , Provincial of the Salesians of Sicily said "We feel
alive. Don Bosco is alive in his holiness , in his message, in the expectations of
the people. Sicily has always shown great affection, and continues to prove it, even
today, despite the social difficulties it is undergoing . " By fixing our eyes
deep in the eyes of Don Bosco - said Sister Anna Rational, Provincial of the Daughters
of Mary Help of Christians in Sicily - you can rekindle the passion for God and for
young people to meet with the loving heart of Don Bosco which is not has spared
effort and sacrifice to work for their salvation . " The whole pilgrimage will be
followed by the media and the press. As a background to the many celebrations planned,
there will be a hymn composed by the Salesian Youth CGS , entitled " Don Bosco is
