30 Oct. 2013 Pope Francis on Monday (4 Nov.) will celebrate morning Mass in St.
Peter’s Basilica in memory of all the cardinals and bishops, who have passed away
during the course of this year. The announcement was issued on Tuesday by Mons. Guido
Marini, Master of Papal liturgical celebrations. The Catholic Church annually remembers
the dead on All Souls Day November 2 by celebrating Masses for the eternal repose
of the dead. Catholics not only attend the masses but also visit the cemeteries
