(Vatican Radio) Pope Francis received about 30 alumni from Jesuit schools in Uruguay
in a noon-hour audience on Saturday. Many children, to whom he referred as “a promise
and a hope”, were also present for the cordial meeting. He commented on his memories
of Uruguay.
“I do not know when a trip will be planned there,” he said. “Certainly
not before 2016. However, what is certain is that if I visit Argentina, I will have
to visit Chile and Uruguay, all three.”
He also asked for prayers, elaborating:
“Here, the people are very good. They are good companions and everyone works together.
The work, however, is plentiful. Therefore, pray for me, for my collaborators, that
we may move forward. Thank you.”
