Pope calls Christians to live their faith seriously

24 Oct. 2013: All Christians are called to live their faith seriously, not superficially, Pope Francis said during Thursday morning’s Mass at Santa Marta Residence in the Vatican. Commenting in his homily on the Letter of St. Paul to the Romans dealing with our redemption, the Holy Father said the blood of Christ has recreated us .It is a second creation. If before, the whole of our life - our bodies, our souls and our habits were on the road of sin, after this recreation we must make the effort to walk the right path – the path of holiness. Admitting that we are weak and fall into sin again and again , the Pope said we must ask the Lord to give us the strength and the faith through the Sacrament of Reconciliation to be healed and live a life of holiness.
