Miles Davis

Ray Henderson's "Bye bye blackbird", Bronislaw Kaper's "On green dolphin street" and Wayne Shorter's "Sanctuary" are the three Miles Davis sides I chose today (October 5) from the 1987 compilation "A Portrait Of Miles Davis". Miles Davis is accompanied by formations which include such legendary musicians as John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, and Bill Evans whose combined tone, seemed to me just the right spirit for a rainy Saturday appointment with Melodies & Memories "The Strange & The Extraordinary".
