Pope Francis receives Bulgaria’s new ambassador to Holy See
Vatican City, 14 September 2013: Pope Francis received on Saturday in audience Bulgaria’s
new ambassador to the Holy See Kiril Topalov Liubomirov. He presented his letters
of credential to the Pontiff on the occasion. According to a Vatican Press Office
communique on Saturday, Kiril Topalov Liubomirov, was the Secretary to the President
of the Republic for the culture, religion and national identity, before his present
appointment. He was the Ambassador to Greece between 1998 and 2002. He has also authored
many books on Bulgarian literature and also numerous novels and plays. Earlier
he held positions such as Professor of Literature at the University of Bulgarian "St.
Kl. Ohridski", Sofia; Professor of Bulgarian Language and Civilization at the University
of Aix-en-Provence; Director of the National Library "Sts Cyril and Methodius".Source:
