Vatican City, 12 September 2013: Vatican has announced on Thursday the Papal engagements
for the next three months. According to a Vatican communique issued by Guido Marini,
Master of Papal Liturgical Celebrations, Pope Francis will make his pastoral visit
to Cagliari, Shrine of "Our Lady of Bonaria" on Sunday 22 September.
On the
occasion of the Day of Catechists which falls on Sunday, 29 September, the Pontiff
will celebrate Mass at 10.30 am in St. Peter's Square. Next day, on Monday 30th
September, Pope Francis will hold Consistory for several Causes of Canonization.
Pope
will make his Pastoral Visit to Assisi on Friday, 4 October. He will preside over
the Marian prayer at St. Peter's Square on Saturday, 12th October. Next
day, on Sunday 13th, on the occasion of the Marian Day, Pope Francis will
celebrate Mass in St. Peter's Square. On 27th, the last Sunday of October,
on the occasion Day of the Family, Pope will preside over Mass at St. Peter's Square.
Pope’s November schedule includes celebration of Mass in Verano Cemetery,
on Friday, 1st November, the Solemnity of All Saints. Next day, Saturday,
2nd November, Pope Francis will lead a moment of prayer at the Vatican
Grottoes to commemorate the faithful departed especially the Popes.
On Monday,
4 November, Pope Francis will preside over Mass in the Vatican Basilica, for the souls
of the deceased Cardinals and Bishops during the year.
Pope Francis will close
the Year of Faith with Mass on Sunday, November 24, in St. Peter's Square. Source:
