Pope’s tweets for hope and peace

September 09, 2013 - Pop Francis on Monday posted two tweets urging people not to lost hope and encouraging parties in conflicts to engage in dialogue. The Pope’s first post on his Twitter account @Pontifiex said: “We ought never to lose hope. God overwhelms us with his grace, if we keep asking.” The exhortation followed the theme of his homily at Mass, Monday morning. In his second tweet, the Pope wrote, “I ask each party to follow decisively and courageously the path of encounter and negotiation.” The exhortation followed Saturday night’s massive prayer initiative in the Vatican with the Pope, for peace in Syria and in the world. On Sunday too the Holy Father kept insisting on peace in Syria.
