Pope tweets for peace

September 06, 2013 - In a bid to rally the entire world for peace in Syria and in the world, Pope Francis Friday morning posted two tweets on the issue on his social micro-blogging page. “Dear young people, pray with me for peace in the world,” and again, “Peace is a good which overcomes every barrier, because it belongs to all of humanity,” the Pope wrote on his Twitter account @Pontifex. The tweets came on the eve of a day of fasting and prayer for peace he has organized in the Vatican on Saturday. Worldwide, communities and Churches have adhered to this initiative of the Pope. Another papal tweet was expected later Friday.
