Let Peace break out!, tweets Pope


Vatican City, 03 September 2013: Pope Francis strongly sought peace for peace in the world. Reflecting on the prevailing situations around the word, Pope wrote on his Twitter handle @pontifex: We want in our society, torn apart by divisions and conflict, that peace break out!

The Pontiff tweeted in the wake of rising tensions in the middle east especially in Syria where an alleged use of Chemical weapons on 21st August killed more than 1400 people including hundreds of children.

Earlier on the day, Pope Francis tweeted: By his coming among us, Jesus transforms our lives. In him, we see that God is love, he is fidelity he is life who gives himself.

The Pope now has more than 8 million followers on his Twitter account @Pontifex. The Pope’s English-language handle alone has over 2.8 million followers. The papal tweets are published in nine languages on the micro-blogging website.Source: VR Sedoc
