Papal Special Envoy for the 750^th anniversary of Xanten Cathedral

Vatican City, 17 August 2013: Pope Francis has appointed on Saturday Cardinal Joachim Meisner, archbishop of Cologne, as his special envoy to the celebrations marking the 750^th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone of the Cathedral of Xanten, Germany, a Vatican communique revealed on Saturday.
