U.S. Jesuits and students speak about the WYD experience

(Vatican Radio) Among the hundreds of thousands of pilgrims who are in Rio to attend the World Youth Day events with Pope Francis is a group of American Jesuits who are accompanying dozens of students hailing from Tampa in Florida.

Our correspondent in Rio, Sean Patrick Lovett, caught up with the group and began by speaking to Father Richard Hermes who heads the Jesuit High School in Tampa. He then spoke to three students from the high school and asked about their impressions of the WYD events so far and the difficulties of living out their faith in today’s society. Sean's final interviewee was Father Gamber who used to work at Vatican Radio's English Program. He spoke about the WYD experience and about how a Jesuit Pope is impacting upon the Order as a whole.
