(Vatican Radio) Accident investigators say the Asiana Airline plane which crash landed
at San Francisco International Airport on Saturday was traveling too slowly.
Two
16 year-old Chinese schoolgirls died and over 180 people were injured when the Boeing
777 hit the runway and its tail broke off. At least 70 Chinese students and teachers
were on the plane heading to summer camps.
San Francisco mayor Edwin Lee said
he was deeply saddened by the fatalities, even as he praised the life-saving prowess
of first responders.
The plane's two black boxes have been analyzed at a laboratory
in Washington, DC.
