Pontifical Biblical Commission to hold annual Plenary assembly in Vatican
(April 03, 2013) The Pontifical Biblical Commission will hold its Annual Plenary
Session from 8 to 12 April at the Domus Sanctae Marthae in Vatican City, under
the chairmanship of Bishop Gerhard Ludwig Müller. Fr. Klemens Stock, Secretary
General of the Society of Jesus Order, will direct the work of the Assembly. During
the course of the meeting, the members will complete their study on the “Inspiration
and Truth of the Bible.” For several years, the Commission has decided to concentrate
its efforts in verifying how the theme of inspiration and that of truth, are manifested
in different books of the Bible. The purpose of the reflection is to make a positive
contribution so that through an in-depth understanding of the concepts of inspiration
and truth, the Word of God may be grasped by all the faithful, in a way more suited
to this unique gift in which God communicates himself and invites all men and women
in communion with him V.R. Sedoc
