Sede Vacante: Sunday in St Peter's Square

(Vatican Radio) This Sunday pilgrims and tourists walked around St Peter’s Square without hearing the traditional recitation of the Angelus by the Pope. The Church is now in the period of the Sede Vacante or Vacant See.

Before his resignation Pope Emeritus Benedict the XVI recited the Angelus 455 times on Sunday over the course of his Pontificate.
