(Vatican Radio) Did you know that there are only 62 Holy Days of Obligation throughout
the year? Taking away Sundays that means 10 special days when Catholics are asked
to put time aside from their everyday tasks to celebrate their faith. But why are
they called Holy Days of Obligation? What does this ‘obligation’ imply and, even
more simply, when and what are the 10 days?
