(Vatican Radio) The UK government is considering further help to French forces fighting
rebels in the West African nation of Mali. British Prime Minister David Cameron says
the response of the international community to the growing threat of militant groups
linked to Al-Qaeda in Africa is likely to top the agenda during the UK’s presidency
of the G8 group.
Meanwhile on the ground in Mali, Catholic Relief Services
is among the aid agencies stepping up support for displaced people fleeing the fighting
