(Vatican Radio) November 9th is the day the Church marks the Dedication
of the Cathedral of Rome, the Basilica of Saint John Lateran . It was 324 when
Pope Sylvester installed his throne inside the Basilica of Saint John Lateran during
its' first official dedication. A throne symbolically placed there as the privileged
seat of papal authority. Reflecting too this Church’s claim as "Mother Church". Veronica
Scarisbrick speaks to the Minister General of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement
Father Jim Puglisi in an effort to shed light on the signficance of this Roman Basilica.
