Canonization of 7 Blessed on 21 October at Vatican
October 16, 2012: Pope Benedict XVI will canonize Seven Blessed persons on
Sunday, 21st October 2012, at St. Peter's Square said a communique issued
on Monday by Monsignor Guido Marini, Master of Papal Liturgical Celebrations, issued
on Monday.The blessed are:
Father JAMES Berthieu, professed member of the Society of Jesus, and a martyr; PETER Calungsod, lay catechist and martyr; Father JOHN THE BAPTIST Piamarta, founder of the Congregation of the Holy Family of Nazareth and the Humble Servants of the Lord;MARIA CARMEN Y Barangueras Salles, founder, Conceptionist Missionary Sisters of Education; ANNA MARIA COPE, professed religious of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis of Syracuse; Caterina Tekakwitha, and ANNA SCHÄFFER, two lay women.
