List of Synod Fathers announced

September 18, 2012: The Holy Father has appointed Synod Fathers of the XIII Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, which will take place 7 to 28 October 2012 on the theme "The New Evangelization for the Transmission of the Christian faith," the Indian names that figure in the list are Oswald Gracias, Archbishop of Bombay (India), General Secretary of the Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences (FABC) and Jose PANTHAPLAMTHOTTIYIL, MC, Prior General of the Carmelites of B. V. Mary Immaculate.
