8 civilians killed in NATO air strike

(Vatican Radio) NATO has offered condolences to the families of 8 Civilians killed in an air strike on Afghanistan's eastern province of Laghman. It’s reported that those killed in the attack in the province of Laghman were all women. Nato says the civilians died during an attempt to target Islamic militants in a remote region that is beyond the control of the country's central government.

This air strike comes just 2 days after an a weekend Taliban attack on Camp Bastion in Helmand province. Ben Farmer from Afghanistan for Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper says "the Taliban propaganda machine has been running in overdrive since this attack".
In a separate incident on Sunday four US soldiers with the Nato forces were killed by suspected Afghan police in Southern Zabel province.
