(Vatican Radio) NATO has offered condolences to the families of 8 Civilians killed
in an air strike on Afghanistan's eastern province of Laghman. It’s reported that
those killed in the attack in the province of Laghman were all women. Nato says the
civilians died during an attempt to target Islamic militants in a remote region that
is beyond the control of the country's central government.
This air strike
comes just 2 days after an a weekend Taliban attack on Camp Bastion in Helmand province.
Ben Farmer from Afghanistan for Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper says "the Taliban
propaganda machine has been running in overdrive since this attack". In a separate
incident on Sunday four US soldiers with the Nato forces were killed by suspected
Afghan police in Southern Zabel province. Listen to Linda Bordoni's report
