(Vatican Radio) Northern Ireland's first and deputy first ministers are expected to
meet Police Chief Matt Baggott today to discuss the recent rioting in north Belfast.
More than 60 police officers were injured over a number of nights as violence continues
in the area. Tensions reached boiling point following recent disputes about parades.

O’Kane spoke to Belfast based political analyst Robin Wilson about the division within
the Northern Ireland leadership on the parades issue.

which has been bemoaned by the police on the ground…”
Paramilitary violence
between the province's mainly nationalists and pro-British loyalists, which raged
for three decades, was largely ended by a 1998 peace agreement, but much of Belfast
