The US Congressman from Wisconsin, Paul Ryan, took centre stage Wednesday evening
at the Republican National Convention, accepting his party's nomination to be former
Mass. Governor Mitt Romney's running mate in the campaign to defeat incumbent President
Barack Obama. The themes that dominated Ryan's acceptance speech and the others delivered
on Wednesday, were responsibility for economic recovery, a recovery of founding principles,
and US leadership abroad. The Convention concludes this evening, with Romney’s acceptance
