Former international athlete to be Catholic chaplain at Olympics 2012

July 03, 2012: Among the Catholic chaplains at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games to be held in London from 27 July to 12 August, will be Father Geoff Hilton of the Diocese of Salford, England. Father Hilton has an impressive record of personal involvement in athletic competition.
The Priest not only played soccer and rugby at a high level of competition, but once reached the final round of a national badminton championship. He later became a rugby referee, officiating at World Cup tournaments.
