Pope receives letters of credence from French ambassador

Pope Benedict XVI received Letters of Credence on Friday from France’s new Ambassador to the Holy See, Bruno Joubert. Married with four children, the sixty-two year-old Joubert is a career diplomat with a degree in political science from l'Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris. His first assignment with the Foreign Ministry was as secretary of the French embassy in Washington, DC (1978-1982). Joubert most recently served as Ambassador to Morocco.
