Hymns to address Our Lady...

We're now in the month of May when we always give Mary special honour...

There are so many hymns that use the 'Ave' to address Our Lady. Whenever we greet her with that word , we're recalling the greeting the Angel Gabriel used and make it our own says music historian Monsignor Philip Whitmore as he brings us a sumptous arrangement of the haunting plainsong 'Ave Maris Stella' made by the great 17th century Italian composer Claudio Monteverdi.
