May 01, 2012: The association Green accord, a non-profit organization and the Pontifical
Council for Justice and Peace, along with Coldiretti, in Rome will organize a round
table to analyze the contribution of the Holy See to the debate on water and to reflect
on the most useful tools to ensure the right of future generations.
Forty days
after the Sixth World Forum on Water in Marseille, the Catholic world wonder about
possible strategies to make effective and universal the right to access to this natural
resource essential for life.
The roundtable entitled "Water: essential for
life" on May 3, will discuss the contents of the note that the Holy See has made public
at the Sixth World Forum of Marseille.
Speakers at the meet will include Bishop
Mario Toso, secretary of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, Sergio Marini,
president of Coldiretti, Riccardo Petrella, a professor at the Catholic University
of Leuven and Andrew Masullo, chairman of the Scientific Committee of Green accord.
